Runners from North Central High School competed at the Brown County Invitational on Saturday.

“We had our best times of the season so far on Saturday,” said North Central boys and girls cross country coach Jeff Ransford. “The kids ran really well.

“It was good to be back to more normal meets this year. Last year we ran the race on a Friday due to COVID.”

The coach added that  Gunner Allen ran his first race of the season after quarantine had kept him out of our first meets.

“He ran 25 minutes and 16 seconds for 97th place,” said Ransford. “Carter Monser had his best race of the year so far running a 26:23 for 100th place.”

For the girls, Mallorie Cochran had her best race of the year running a 26:43 for 78th place, according to Ransford.

“Katie Jones ran her first race ever running 37:06 for 102nd place. I was proud of the kids for running so well for how this year has been going.  We will have a good week of practice and get ready South Knox. We will have more kids back.”
