Sullivan boys coach Carl Melchert, left, and senior Collier Elliott have a chat before Elliott tees off at the regional at Country Oaks Golf Club on Thursday.

Sullivan senior Collier Elliott concluded his golf career at the Washington Regional on Thursday.

Playing at the Country Oaks Golf Club in Montgomery, Elliott shot an 85 and did not qualify for the state finals.

"It is a big accomplishment to qualify for the regional," said Sullivan boys golf coach Carl Melchert. "This is a challenging course.

"Collier shot a 43 on the front nine. I was proud of the way Collier played and the way he represented Sullivan High School."
