Delainey Shorter

The Sullivan High School girls basketball team pushed its record to 2-0 after a 45-39 victory at Bloomfield on Tuesday.

Sullivan jumped ahead 16-5 after the opening quarter but only led 22-17 at intermission.

Delaney Shorter was the lone Lady Arrow in double figures with 18 points. Twin sister Gracie Shorter added nine points and Jacie Wilson scored eight.

There was no JV game at the request of Bloomfield.

Sullivan will open play in the Western Indiana Conference on Saturday at Owen Valley. The JV contest will start at 6 p.m. with the varsity to follow.
