Lady Arrows open season against North Knox

The Sullivan High School girls golf team opened the season on Thursday.
Playing at the Bicknell Country Club, host North Knox defeated Sullivan 203-223.
Cara Gofourth shot a personal best 51 for the Lady  Arrows, including her first career birdie.
Bonnie Witt carded a 55 and Courtney Lueking shot 57.
Cassie Moore shot a 60, Audrey Willis 61 and Molly Ranard had a 66.
“The course was very dry and hard,” said Sullivan coach Justin Ridge. “It also was very hot.
“But the girls battled through all that and did well against a decent North Knox team.”
He added that he was pleased with their effort, including Gofourth’s
best showing of her career.
“She really stepped up and got off to a great start,” said Ridge. “This was a step in the right direction.”
The Lady Arrows will host Edgewood Monday at 4:45 p.m.
