Ladybirds win second game

The North Central softball team improved to 2-0 after an 18-3 victory at Owen Valley on Saturday.

The game was halted after five innings via the 10-run rule.

Erika Shroyer won her second decision without a loss.

She allowed four hits and three runs, just one earned. Shroyer fanned two and walked one.

Madison Schofield had two triples and a home run. She finished 4 of 5, scoring four runs and knocking in five.

Kaelee Moody had a double and triple and one RBI. Shroyer helped her own cause with three hits, two runs and two RBIs.

Hailey Salyer had a single and double in two at bats. She knocked in two runs and scored twice.

Brooklyn Klitzing scored two runs and drove in one.

Arika Enochs was 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Rachel Weir and Brinley Stone each scored one run, Sheyanna Hauger drove in one run and Morgan Manning was 1-for-3 and scored one run.

Hannah Simmons had two hits, one run and one RBI.

North Central will host Brown County at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
