GOSPORT — Sullivan ended up with a fourth-place finish at the Western Indiana Conference boys golf championship, hosted at Rolling Meadows Golf Course on Saturday.

Northview had a winning total of 311. Greencastle was second with a 319.

Sullivan and Indian Creek each shot 339, but the Braves took home third place by virtue of the score of the fifth golfer.

“I thought we could finish third,” said new Sullivan coach Carl Melchert. “We were right there, but just got nosed out by Indian Creek.

“But I was very pleased that Gavin (Jenkins), Wyatt (Piel) and Collier (Elliott) each made the All-Conference team.”

Elliott tied for third-lowest with an 18-hole total of 77.

Jenkins and Piel each shot 82, tying for 14th with two other golfers as 17 golfers earned All-WIC.

Koby Wood shot a 98 and Hunter Pirtle finished with a 105.
