Rose Mahurin

Rose Marie Mahurin, 88, Sullivan, passed away June 8, 2021, at her home.

Rose was born Aug. 28, 1932, to Effie and Raymond Wade, the youngest

of five children. Rose was a homemaker for most of her life while her

family was growing up then she worked at Miller's Merry Manor for 15

years in the housekeeping and laundry department, always taking pride

in her work. She retired from Miller's and went to work as the people

greeter at Walmart where she remained for 15 years when she retired at

80 years old. She missed the job at Walmart and seeing all of the

people and playing Mrs. Clause at Christmas time. Rose was a

fun-loving person who loved her family and took great pride in her

home. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post

139.

She is preceded in death by her parents; all of her siblings, Delora

Partlow, Lorraine Wilkinson, Raymond “Bud” Wade and John Wade; her

husband, Lorne “Earl” Mahurin; one grandson, Jerry Mahurin; her

special friend, Eugene Bales; and her best friend, Diana Shepherd.

She is survived by four children, Stephen (and Candice) Mahurin, Mark

(and Shauna) Mahurin, Ray Mahurin and Robin (and Wes) Wilkes; her

grandchildren, Heather DeLeon, Aleia (and Brady) Hanson, Anthony (and

Patia) Mahurin, Justin (and Mandy) Mahurin, Angela (and Jarry) Evans,

Stacie (and James) Clark and Jacob Wilkes; and several

great-grandchildren.

Rose will truly be missed.

A celebration of life will be take place at a later date. Arrangements

were entrusted to Brust Funeral Home.
