Bedwell seeks second term on Sullivan County Council, Dist. 3

The Sullivan County Clerk's Office had two persons file official

paperwork on Wednesday to run for county offices in this year's May

primary election.

Incumbent Curt Bedwell, Republican, will seek a second term

representing Sullivan County Council, Dist. 3; while Connie Riggs,

Republican, has filed to serve on the Jackson Township Advisory Board.

Assessor — Tracey Spurr, Democrat.

Auditor — Amy Scarbrough, Republican.

Clerk —  Tonya Bedwell (incumbent), Republican.

Prosecutor — Ann Smith Mischler (incumbent), Republican.

Recorder — Delta Marie Mahurin, Republican; Christy Knotts, Republican.

Sheriff — Randy Beller, Republican; Billy Snead, Republican; Jason

Bobbitt, Democrat.

Commissioner Dist. 1 — Bob Davis (incumbent), Republican.

Council Dist. 1 — none.

Council Dist. 2 — none.

Council Dist. 3 — none.

Council Dist. 4 — none.

Township Trustees — Brenda Howard, Curry, Democrat; Cathy Halberstadt,

Fairbanks, Democrat.

Township Advisory Boards — Dustin Adams, Fairbanks, Republican; Rudy

Nichols, Turman, Democrat; Patricia Goodman, Cass, Democrat; Jack

Mize, Haddon, Democrat.

Precinct Committeeman — Jack Mize, Haddon 1, Democrat.

State Convention Delegates — Kaleb Westbrook, At-Large, Republican;

Jack Mize, At-Large, Democrat.

Filing for offices is at the Sullivan County Clerk's Office with the

filing period concluding at noon on Feb. 4.

Voter registration ends on April 4, with the primary election set from

6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on May 3.
