Lady Bulldogs lose
on senior night

On senior night at Dugger, the Lady Bulldogs lost to Martinsville, Illinois 25-20, 26-24, 22-25, 13-25, 14-15.
“Senior night is always an emotional night,” said Dugger Union volleyball coach Lois Astleford. “The girls once again played hard, but fell short in the fifth set.
“It looked like they were going to win, but Martinsville caught on to my signals and started moving to where my girls were told to serve and hit. Martinsville started tipping one right after the other. Even though Madison Marlow was at the net, they were able to get it over her.”
Astleford said that Stormy Kinnard (7), Madonna Astleford (1), Mia Marlow (2) and Kaylee Williams (1) had some great kills.
“The girls were better with their serving,” said coach Astleford. “The loss just came down to emotions and we got tired.”
Lynn Medley had eight digs and one kill as Dugger Union lost the JV match 16-25, 16-25.
