Photo by LANA STRINGER: Dugger Union's Alex Babb tackles a Riverton Parke runner during a football game at Dugger on Friday night.

Riverton Parke scored seven touchdowns in the first half as the visiting Panthers cruised to a 57-6 victory over host Dugger Union in a high school football game on Friday night.
It was the first win in six games for the Panthers while the Bulldogs dropped to 0-4.
Riverton Parke dominated both sides of the line of scrimmage as they rolled up 382 yards of total offense.
Their defense also was dominant as they forced five turnovers (four interceptions and one fumble) and limited Dugger Union to 84 yards of offense.
“It was a very discouraging night,” Dugger Union coach Jeff Griffith told the media. “We’ve had a lot of tough nights, I think.
“Our offensive and defensive lines are hurting us, absolutely hurting us.”
Griffin Lyman rushed for 85 yards and two TDs for the winners.
Quarterback Hunter Collings had 76 yards rushing and completed 6 of 6 passes for 107 yards, including a 42-yard TD toss to Brandon Hazzard.
Triston Herrick, Ryan Spurr, Logan Hollingsworth and Derek Lebron each had one rushing TD for the Panthers.
Keaton Allen added a 36-yard punt return as part of a 28-point first quarter by the Panthers.
The Bulldogs scored their only touchdown in the third quarter. Quarterback Bryar Marlow went up the middle for a 33-yard scoring run, cutting the lead to 50-6.
Jacob Cross was tops for Dugger Union in rushing with 60 yards on 15 attempts.
Marlow tallied 36 more on four carries.
On the final drive of the game, the Bulldogs marched from their own 20-yard to the Riverton Parke 25 before time expired.
“There are not many positives the team can take away from the game,” said Griffith. “That’s all I can say.”
Dugger Union will play at 7 p.m. Friday at Indiana School for the Deaf in Indianapolis.
