The Sullivan High School girls golf team finished first in a match at the Phil Harris Golf Course in Linton on Wednesday to conclude the regular season.
The Lady Arrows shot 223, Linton had a 225, Owen Valley 232 and White River Valley did not have the required four golfers for a team score.
Courtney Lueking tied her career best with a 48.
Peyton Sisil shot 55 and Cara Gofourth and Bonnie Witt both carded 60s.
“Courtney tied her career-low with several strokes left on the course,” said Sullivan coach Justin Ridge. “Heading into sectional, that is a huge confidence boost.
“Peyton played great tonight. She recorded her first birdie and personal best. She was very excited about hitting those marks. Bonnie and Cara didn’t play well by their recent standards, but they did not give up and helped us get the win.”
The Lady Arrows will compete at the Vincennes Lincoln Sectional on Saturday. They will tee off at 10 a.m. at the Country Club of Old Vincennes on hole No. 1.
“I am excited to see how we do Saturday with the momentum of a win,” said Ridge.
