Boys soccer blanks Lincoln
The Sullivan High School boys soccer team did all of its scoring in the second half as the Golden Arrows defeated Vincennes Lincoln 3-0 at home on Tuesday.
Lane Bogdan scored the first and third goals for the Arrows.
Braeden Thompson scored the third goal.
“We are starting to see improvement,” said Sullivan coach Perry Thomas. “We played better in a 5-4 loss on Saturday.
“That carries over into this game. We were better and ready to go. I am pleased to see them play better and happy for them to get another win.”
Nicholas Thomas came up with a shutout in goal.
“Nic did a nice job in goal in place of Jake (Voliva), who is injured,” coach Thomas said of his son.
Sullivan (2-8-1) lost to visiting South Knox 6-0 on Wednesday.
The Arrows will host Greencastle in a Western Indiana Conference match on Saturday, starting at 10 a.m. Sullivan is 1-2 in the West Division of the WIC.
