Carlisle will host clean-up days Thursday, May 24, through Tuesday, May 29.

Town board members said there will be Dumpsters in front of the town marshal’s office for residents to dispose of excess trash, furniture and other items for free.

Tires and batteries will not be allowed in the Dumpsters.

“The town does this every year as a courtesy so that town members can get rid of stuff they have stored and don’t know where they can go to get rid of it,” board member Azalia Barfield said.

The town will also help those who cannot bring items to the Dumpsters. To request assistance, call the town marshal.

“We’ve done this for several years now,” Barfield said. “You’d be surprised at how much junk comes out of here. It really helps to clean the town up.”

Also, Clerk-Ttreasurer Suzan Ridgway wants to remind Carlisle residents to sign up for "summer sewer." To sign up, stop by the water office or call 398-4924.
